With over 670+ show cars, the event continues to expand each year, making it one of the largest and most unique car shows in the area.

The show is held on the historic Tri-City Dragway property, which offers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that mixes rich automotive history with a strong sense of community. Attendees can walk the grounds, explore a wide variety of vehicles, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy a day centered around car culture. This event directly supports the ongoing restoration and improvement of the property. Every year, as the show grows, so does the progress — making it a chance to not only experience great cars, but also be part of bringing new life back to a historic venue.

Frequently Asked Questions

To continue improving the overall experience, registration pricing has been updated to $20 for preregistration and $25 for day-of registration. This adjustment allows us to implement a more reliable and user-friendly registration system that reduces confusion and improves communication between our organization and participants.

With these improvements, we’re able to streamline the entire entry process — making arrival faster, smoother, and more efficient while minimizing delays. The updated pricing also supports mailing out registration confirmation packets in advance, ensuring every participant receives the necessary materials and information prior to the event.

All credit card processing fees are included in this price, eliminating unexpected charges and simplifying the payment process. Registration software and systems also come with costs, which are reflected in the updated pricing and allow us to provide a more organized and efficient experience for everyone.

These changes are focused on creating a more organized, transparent, and enjoyable experience—from registration to arrival—while continuing to support the growth and quality of the event.

Our updated registration process is an online process designed to reduce confusion and create a smoother, more efficient experience for all participants. This new process allows us to better manage traffic flow, reduce wait times, and create a more organized and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Pre-registration opens April 4th (online and by mail) and will remain open through July 18th. During this time, those who wish to pre-register should complete all required information on the registration form to secure their spot in the show.

After pre-registration closes, all registered participants will receive a confirmation packet either by mail or in person pickup, depending on what is selected during the pre-registration process. Each packet will include a window cling for your vehicle to allow for quick, seamless entry into the event, along with vouchers for any pre-purchased merchandise. You’ll also receive important event details, including entry instructions, a property map, and the full event schedule.

Weapons, fireworks, and any other dangerous or restricted items are strictly prohibited. Please note that the Tri-City Dragway property is located on federal airport property regulated by the FAA. As such, prohibited items are not only against event rules but also against federal law. Anyone bringing restricted items onto the grounds will be subject to removal and possible prosecution.

All proceeds benefit Tri-City Dragway Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the historic drag strip while serving and engaging the Mid-Michigan community.

Parking is on-site and within walking distance of the show cars. It is an estimated 1.5 hour walk around the property to see all the cars.

Yes, limited handicap parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let one of our volunteers know if you need handicap parking and we will do our best to accommodate!

We recommend bringing lawn chairs or blankets if you’d like to sit and enjoy the entertainment by the Coleman Road Band!

For insurance reasons, golf carts are not permitted. However, personal mobility devices such as scooters, wheelchairs, and similar equipment are allowed.

Yes, portable restrooms will be available throughout the grounds.

Following a vote by our Board of Directors, a spectator fee has been implemented in response to limited space on the property and the increasing public interest in our event, which has resulted in rapid growth beyond our current capacity. The parking fee was determined based on the average donation received during each year's car show.
