The American Gasser’s Tri-City Dragway Car Show is a rapidly growing community event that brings together classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, and automotive enthusiasts from across the region. With over 670+ show cars, the event continues to expand each year, making it one of the largest and most unique car shows in the area.
The show is held on the historic Tri-City Dragway property, which offers a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that mixes rich automotive history with a strong sense of community. Attendees can walk the grounds, explore a wide variety of vehicles, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy a day centered around car culture. This event directly supports the ongoing restoration and improvement of the property. Every year, as the show grows, so does the progress — making it a chance to not only experience great cars, but also be part of bringing new life back to a historic venue.

The Tri-City Dragway Car Show will feature live entertainment to keep the energy throughout the day. The highlight is the Coleman Road Band, a must-see band known for their engaging performances. Their setlist brings together familiar Classic Rock, Blues, Country, and Dance favorites.
Coleman Road has earned a reputation for delivering shows that never disappoint, making them the perfect soundtrack to a day filled with cars, community, and celebration. Feel free to bring a chair and watch them perform!

7:00am - Gates open to pre-registered show cars on Sarle Road
8:00am - Gates open to public on Sarle Road
8:15am - Show car registration begins
8:30am - Merchandise tent opens in the vendor area
10:00am - Band performances begin in the vendor area
12:00pm - the Motown Shaker fires up in the tower area
1:00pm - 50/50 raffle is announced by the band in the vendor area
2:00pm - event ends and picture opportunities in front of the tower begin
4:00pm - event grounds close to the public
There is a $10 parking fee for spectators, payable at the gate. Please have cash ready to help our volunteers move the line quickly. For spectators, there is no admission available to be collected before the day of the event. Admission for spectators is collected at the gate only!
Weapons, fireworks, and any other dangerous or restricted items are strictly prohibited. Please note that the Tri-City Dragway property is located on federal airport property regulated by the FAA. As such, prohibited items are not only against event rules but also against federal law. Anyone bringing restricted items onto the grounds will be subject to removal and possible prosecution.
All proceeds benefit Tri-City Dragway Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the historic drag strip while serving and engaging the Mid-Michigan community.
Parking is on-site and within walking distance of the show cars. It is an estimated 1.5 hour walk around the property to see all the cars.
Yes, limited handicap parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let one of our volunteers know if you need handicap parking and we will do our best to accommodate!
We recommend bringing lawn chairs or blankets if you’d like to sit and enjoy the entertainment by the Coleman Road Band!
For insurance reasons, golf carts are not permitted. However, personal mobility devices such as scooters, wheelchairs, and similar equipment are allowed.
Yes, portable restrooms will be available throughout the grounds.
Following a vote by our Board of Directors, a spectator fee has been implemented in response to limited space on the property and the increasing public interest in our event, which has resulted in rapid growth beyond our current capacity. The parking fee was determined based on the average donation received during each year's car show.
